Sometimes all that's needed to get our visions, goals and creations to be consistently fruitful is a bit of grounding.

Grounding... it's a key part of securing our physical vessel and realm for the spiritual work and play of a life well lived. When I think about grounding, my mind envisions a mighty tree... the healthier and deeper its roots and environment, the higher the metaphorical tree can climb, lifting its fruited branches to the light. We are just like a tree in this regard... if we don't ground down into a healthy environment and take care of our roots, then we ain't got no fruits. The practice of  grounding helps us stretch into our depths, symbiotically drawing up resources from our many and varied places of strength and nourishment. Grounding gives our unique energetic signatures a safe space to powerfully connect and expand on the Earth. Taking the time and care to slow down and calm down so we can power up through grounding our energies while in the rush of daily activity can have a dramatic impact on our ability to practically enjoy and manifest our vision for our best life. I'm happy to share with you in our time together here today six of the energy grounding power tools I find most effective:

EARTHING
The Earth itself, our main Mama, is one place of nourishment and strength we all share in common. Its been discovered that connecting our skin directly to the conductive systems in soil immediately transfers Earth's abundance of electrons from the ground right into our bodies. Then the energetic systems of our bodies essentially convert those electrons into a huge supply of free, bio available anti-oxidants! This stable, internal bio-electrical exchange helps naturally recalibrate our energy systems and creates a supportive environment for the healthy functioning of ALL body systems. From a bio-electrical standpoint, we are perfectly designed to be freely and abundantly energized and sourced when directly connected to the Earth! . This act of exposing skin directly to the good, clean power of the Earth is called "Earthing". Earthing has scientifically been shown to offer a range of great physical health benefits such as enjoying deeper sleep, reducing stress, giving us more energy, improved circulation, reduced inflammation and faster recovery from trauma. It turns out too that as we are supported in our base physical needs that this amplifies our ability to focus into our target intentions that are higher on the scale of human endeavors. ( Yay! That means being able to manifest more. )  Here are two of my favorite ways to plug our manifesting powers into the potent strength given to us through Earthing:

 EARTHING BY DAY
 For the most immediate way to get grounded by Earthing you can simply get outside, kick off your shoes and touch or sit directly on the ground for a few minutes, the longer the better... benefits are immediate... breathe and receive what IS. Let the natural world recharge you with vitality boosting anti-oxidants and recalibrate your energy to manifest. If you've got to be indoors for most of your day, a great way to experience all the grounding and vitality boosting benefits of Earthing is to use a device called an Earthing Mat. Here is a link to a good quality  Earthing Mat  which you can place at your feet while at your desk or plug it in to the area where you will be resting. Simply plug it in then kick off your shoes at your work station and place your feet directly on your Earthing Mat to immediately ground yourself and receive all the benefits of earthing. In ancient times and in many places in the world, it was customary for people to sleep on mats directly on the ground. MEDITATION
Calming our whole being so we can sink deeper into our grounded strength to manifest is most immediately accessible through meditation. So many of us are overstimulated and overbooked in our day to day lives. Even though a daily meditation practice of 20 minutes or more can profoundly improve our experience of living well, it can be challenging for some to carve out that amount of daily devotional space. One of my favorite meditation techniques is the 1 Minute Meditation. All meditation helps us ENTER and APPRECIATE THE MOMENT and BE HERE NOW ( aka get grounded in the power of the now ). It is in the NOW that manifestations, creativity and the appreciation that expands us happen. Now is where abundant living happens. Because of the future focused, rapid pace of the modern world, most individuals can benefit greatly from learning how to quickly enter the moment by doing a potent 1 Minute Meditation practice once or twice a day. I mean, we've all got at least one minute we can give to ourselves and manifesting our dreams pretty much every day. Here are two different 1 Minute Meditation techniques. All you need to do is decide that the next minute or two is your holy space to let go and recharge yourself. You can try each and see which one of these works best for you:

1. 1 Minute Earth Meditation. Go inward. Exhale, relax every part possible of your whole body. Calm your mind. In your Mind's eye, envision a powerful root system made of a beautiful pure light growing in a thick, strong band starting from your navel and reaching down, down, down and solidly anchoring into the luminous power core of the stable, good Earth itself. Let your body anchor and relax now into the Earth. This luminous power core is your place of greatest personal magnetism, that holds the irresistible energetic signatures that always powerfully attract your best answers, creations and solutions to you naturally. Breathe deeply and know that you are potently connected, supported, magnetized and sourced. Allow your body to remember how the rich, stable Earth is always here for you every step of your journey. 2. 1 Minute Sun Meditation. Go inward. Exhale, relax every possible part of your whole being. Calm your mind. See yourself as a mighty tree basking in the life giving light of the sun. Feel the warm, divine light feeding every cell of your leaves, bark and branches. While the central Sun fully powers you and the entire planetary system that is your home, your roots instantly grow, rapidly digging deeper into the Earth and into new sources and places of nourishment from deep within. Feel your whole body, being and territory expand as the all mighty, warm and loving Sun radiates constantly, powerfully giving you radiant life energy. Let your body know that you are infinitely sourced to thrive. Let yourself shine brilliantly now today.

BREATHWORK
 Breathing easy is both a technique and a benefit of powerful manifestations. One of the quickest ways to influence our heart rate, our nervous system and our state of mind is through the breath. Calming, deepening and slowing our breathing is an immediate way we can help ground ourselves in the present moment. Here's a simple Grounding Breath Exercise that you can try now:

Breathe deeply in through your nose and direct your breathing deep into your belly ( aka your muladhara or root chakra ) for 4 slow counts, hold for 4 slow counts, exhale through your mouth as calmly, quietly and evenly as possible for 4 slow counts, rest for 4 slow counts. Repeat this breath cycle until you feel completely centered, grounded and present in the moment. Many people find they only need 3-5 grounding breath cycles to start to feel calm and fully present. Once your breath has brought you into a calm state of groundedness, breathe easy for as long as is humanly possible ( pro hint: you are perfectly designed to breathe easy most of the time :) ). ( This is also a particularly good Breathwork technique to use before bed if you have racing thoughts. )

Recalibrate...Ways to Ground Your Energy to Manifest More

Back to our bio-electrical bodies. We keep discovering that we really are vibrational beings. From the electrical properties of anti-oxidants to the need for our nervous systems and pulmonary systems to pulse in harmonic rhythms, we humanoids function best when our electrical frequencies are well calibrated and well grounded. Electrolytes play a key role in calibrating our physical and energetic frequencies and grounding them. Magnesium and bicarbonate are two of the minerals that are classified as electrolytes. Electrolytes are mineral ions that carry an electric charge when they are dissolved in a liquid such as blood or water. These ions enable the smooth flow of electrical signals throughout the body. A simple and pleasant salt bath made from Magnesium Salt Flakes combined with Baking Soda ( bicarbonate ) energizes our bioelectrical system with useful electrolytes. I like to use about 3/4 cup of Magnesium Salt and !/4 cup of Baking Soda per warm bath along with a drop or two of a calming organic essential oil ( like lavender or frankincense ). Aside from the ability of a pleasurable Magnesium Salt baths to clear infections and treat wounds some people also find that magnesium absorbs better in the body through skin via a Magnesium Salt bath than when taken by mouth as a dietary supplement for grounded, restful sleep and nervous system regulation. Regular magnesium salt baths have been shown to help reduce overall stress and anxiety and calm and balance extremes in mood disorders ( such as bipolar disorder ). We manifest best from a place of relaxed, ease filled flow. Creating a regular grounding, electrolyte rich bath time ritual with Magnesium Salt and bicarbonate gives you a sacred, supportive space and time to ground your energies, calm your mind and allow manifestations and new intentions to emerge. It's a wonderful space in which to refresh your whole being, release energetic blockages and baggage and dream yourself and your life anew.

GROUNDING TOUCHSTONES
Many people find the ancient practice of utilizing a touchstone to be a great way to instantly enter into a state of calm groundedness. One of the definitions of a touchstone is: a test or criterion for determining the quality or genuineness of a thing. Checking into reality to consider the value of what we are wanting to realize is a great way to ground our ideas into manifest form. Have you set goals or ideals in increments that your deeper self can believe are achievable? A useful touchstone when it comes to attaining our manifestations is the BREATH. In asking ourselves if we can let go and receive what our heart's next desire is, we can check in with our breath. Do you breathe easy? Does your next goal or manifestation put you into panicked, stunted, tight or labored breathing? When we touch into that space, the touchstone of EASY breathing will tell us our intentions can manifest.

And speaking of stones, I also have found that assigning an actual physical stone as a touch stone helps to keep grounded and tap into the potent manifesting powers of our subconscious minds. I like to use natural crystals as touchstones as they are beautiful, portable, as well as highly evolved mineral forms with a wide array of practical and esoteric uses ( eg: quartz crystal are used in watches to help keep perfect time, conduct electricity and amplify intention, etc ). There are many crystals that are considered grounding stones. One of my very favorite natural grounding stones that is also known historically for it's association with the ability to give endless strength, protect from extractive energies, dial it's holder into the abundance frequency and help bring powerful manifestation into being is Garnet  Using a crystal as a touchstone can be as simple as keeping a favorite grounding stone on your person, in your pocket, hand or energy field throughout the day. Subconsciously your mind will visit the ideas, goals and energy embodied, embedded or programmed into this touchstone several times per day. This calms your mind as it strengthens your connection to an idea ( in the case of a stone like Garnet the ideas of grounding and manifestation )  and anchors your thinking to focus on and make real your desired outcomes. Some people choose to use a piece of natural stone jewelry ( like these Garnet Bracelet ) as a touchstone. This ancient fortifying practice of keeping a stone talisman or touchstone with you throughout your day can have surprisingly powerful effects in appreciating and manifesting great things in your life. I know that it has in mine!

DIVINE CONNECTION & GRATITUDE
I've saved the best and most powerful tool for last. The number one way I know of to get grounded and to manifest more is to get in touch with your Source. How is your connection right now to your Higher Power, Source, Love, the Infinite, G.O.D. ( Good Orderly Direction ), Unity Consciousness, Creator Spirit, the Divine, All That IS ? There are THOUSANDS of names for the unseen power beyond our own. What is your personal practice to connect with that? Just moments spent there where you TRULY connect with and appreciate the power that creates worlds can and will get your feet on the ground and your abilities to manifest your best life moving in a positive direction. A key to tuning into the abundance frequency is to be really, deeply honest with yourself about what YOUR Source is and where/how YOU truly connect, then get and stay actively connected. This looks different for each person as we are each in different stages on unique journeys. Combining divine connection with the grounding energy of appreciation is a manifestation power combo made in heaven. Appreciation multiplies through grounding us in the realization that there is already abundance here for us now. There is no power in pretense or in mimicking someone else's connection or way with gratitude or the Divine. Honor and nourish YOUR true connection with the Divine/ All That IS as often as possible. This is where you can attune, tap into and select from the quantum realm of infinite possibilities that is ever present. Devoting some sacred space and time to gratitude, appreciation and your most poignant divine relationship every day is a master key in manifesting a beautiful, fruitful and satisfying life in the here and now.
